"Snowy Mountains Fly-in" A Tribute to the Southern Cloud,
22nd_ 23rd of November, 2008

To mark 50 years since the wreckage was discovered & commemoration of the major milestone in the aviation industry that followed, The Corryong airports "Snowy Mountains Fly-in" is featuring a Tribute to the Southern Cloud on the weekend of the 22nd of November, 2008.
All Aviation enthusiasts are invited to experience the hospitality at scenic Corryong, the heart of the land that made "The Man from Snowy River" Nestled in a picturesque valley of the magnificent Upper Murray region with no Landing fees.

The first 50 planes will receive a complimentary bottle of "Corryong Airport Reserve Port".
A BBQ brunch and the opportunity to view an array of vintage air crafts, warbirds, ultralights, home built, sport and GA & model flying machines.
Be entertained by musicians, poets and story tellers & visit the "Man from Snowy River" grave site, or Museum of early pioneer life.

After lunch travel by bus through the exquisite snowy mountains to see the ‘Southern Cloud’ memorial site near Tumbarumba, & exhibition of Southern Cloud artefacts and memorabilia.
At Corryong, enjoy a sumptuous aviators dinner at one of the fine restaurants or country hotels within walking distance of the airport. Camping under the wing permitted. Avgas and Mogas will be available at the airport.
